A disciplined dual-species model for Bangladesh.
SHAB is steering Bangladesh’s shrimp sector toward a disciplined dual-species model. Penaeus monodon stays our premium flagship—backed by stronger broodstock control, biosecurity, and traceability. Penaeus vannamei will be phased in (SPF, zoning, certification) to deliver steady, cost-competitive volume. Together they diversify risk, stabilise exports, and keep plants utilised year-round.

Registered under the Ministry of Commerce and proudly affiliated with FBCCI, we champion quality-driven, sustainable shrimp seed production that meets—and exceeds—global standards.
Through strategic advocacy, cutting-edge research, and hands-on training, SHAB equips our members to innovate, scale responsibly, and compete on the world stage—safeguarding ecosystems today while securing prosperity for tomorrow.
